Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park

Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant

About 90% of the grove is occupied by anthills of different sizes and diameters. The largest ant hill is one and a half meters high, and its diameter exceeds two meters.

Historical and ethnographic museum-reserve “Shushenskoe
Is famous for the fact that during the great revolution in Siberia was visited by Lenin himself as a political exile at the end of the 19th century. Residents themselves wanted to perpetuate the memory of the revolutionary, and then bought the house of the peasant woman Petrova, in which the political figure spent during his exile almost the entire term. And a little later bought the apartment of peasant Zyryanov, where Lenin also often visited. In the houses were created folk museums for tourists, so that all who come to Shushenskoye could get acquainted with the history of the revolution. In 1939 the houses were converted into the Lenin Memorial Museum, and became part of the Central Lenin Museum.

Communal bridge across the Yenisei
The bridge is a part of the eleven operating bridges across the Yenisei River. It provides the connection of the two banks of the capital of the Krasnoyarsk Region. One end of the bridge falls on Predmostnaya Street, the second end on Teatralnaya Square. Communal bridge is suitable not only for transport, but also for pedestrians. For this purpose, it was deliberately divided into two bridges, separated from each other by a causeway on the Isle of Leisure. The bridge is 23.4 m wide and 26 m high. The total length is 2, 3 km.

Yergaki Nature Park
It is especially loved by tourists. Many call it a place of strength, a place of self-discovery. The territory of the park is built up with various wooden paths and metal stairs. Here, unspoiled nature comes into contact with tourists in an incredible way. Some of the hills have the presence of bright flowers, which the locals have nicknamed “roasters”. It is the largest monument of rock art in Krasnoyarsk region. It is located 35 km away from the village of Kuragino on a large rocky massif. According to historical data, the graffiti is even older than the petroglyphs of Egyptian pyramids. If you look closer at the drawings on the stone surfaces, you can see similarities with the images of moose and bulls. It is noteworthy that there are invisible drawings of ancient people on the rocks of the array. Chapel of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa.
The history of the site goes back to the 19th century. Previously there was a Cossack watchtower on the site of the chapel. A few years after that, a merchant Novikov ordered to tear down the tower and build a chapel in honor of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa. The building has not been changed since, only reconstructed. Near the chapel there is a playground and a motorcycle track, at the moment. The landmark is located on a slope, so it is always better to come there in warm clothes, as multiple gusts of winds never leave the chapel unattended.

Surikov Art Museum
Originally the building belonged to the famous architect V. Sokolovsky. Subsequently the house was rebuilt into a central attraction in Krasnoyarsk in 1957. It was founded in 1987 as the thirteenth branch of the Central Lenin Museum. It is the only man-made navigable canal between the basins of the Ob and Yenisei. More than half of the canal locks are in the Krasnoyarsk Territory: Alexandrovsky, Bezymyanny, Kasovsky, etc. It begins in the village of Ust-Ozernoye on the Keta River and ends at the mouth of the Bolshoi Kas River. It runs, connecting the Yenisei and the Ob from west to east. It was first formed in 1873 in order to provide cheaper transportation of goods between the two rivers. Today it is a landmark of the Krasnoyarsk region.

The height above sea level is 6 meters, the total area is 4,560 km2. The deepest point in the lake is 26 meters, the average depth is 2.7 meters. Tungus Nature Reserve
The State Nature Reserve “Tungussky” is perhaps famous all over the world – and not so much because of the valuable natural objects, unique flora and fauna of the protected area, but because of the large-scale space disaster that happened in this area. After the explosion of an unidentified space object above the present-day Tunguska Nature Reserve in 1908, the forests for many kilometers were completely destroyed. There is a lot to see in the reserve besides the legendary meteorite impact site. Its nature is very diverse and beautiful. Most of it is covered with larch and pine-larch forests. Such trees as pine, spruce, fir, cedar, aspen, birch, etc. grow here. Among rare and protected species on the territory of the reserve are Calypso bulbous, Venus slipper orchid, Rhodiola rosea and about 100 species of valuable medicinal plants.

Church of the Annunciation
The Annunciation Monastery was the first women’s monastery opened in the Krasnoyarsk region after the diocese was recreated in 1990, and in 2007 the Holy Synod appointed hegumna Yelisaveta (Ustalova), now schema-nun Amvrosia, as the convent’s rector.
