Top 13 best European beaches. Part 2

Europe’s Best Beaches – Top 10

Europe is surrounded by four seas: the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, the Baltic Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, which also includes the North Sea. Together they have thousands of kilometers of coastline, where we find beaches of all kinds: from beautiful paradises, to pretty far from the Blue Flag.

Today we will focus on the first type, but more specifically, we present to your attention the best beaches in Europe, which were chosen for their beauty and location in areas with excellent climate (by the way, see also “The best beaches in the world”).

Although it is worth noting that the list is rather arbitrary, because Europe is not limited to these beaches, there are dozens of others that could take a place on the list. But, nevertheless, perhaps the following beaches should be highlighted first.

1. Golden Horn, Croatia

This beautiful beach is located on the island of Brac and is one of the most unique in the world. It is a triangular strip of sand about 500m long, which changes its shape depending on the direction of the wind and tide. It is washed by the Adriatic Sea, which here is characterized by its intense blue color. See also: The best beaches in Croatia.

2. Beach Rodas, Cies Islands, Spain

Rodas

Stepping onto this beach, you will have the impression that you are in one of those Caribbean paradises that you are used to seeing on TV. It really has a lot in common with the coast of the Caribbean Sea: white sand and turquoise sea water. But instead of palm trees there are pine trees, and instead of coral and barracuda you will see mussels and clams. This is the biggest beach of the Natural Park of the Cies Islands and only accessible by boat from the port of Vigo and Cangas.

Another long beautiful beach of Europe is located in Greece, on one of the Ionian Islands, Lefkas. It is characterized by golden sand and blue waters that reflect the sky like a mirror. These high cliffs rise up to 80 meters in height, forming beautiful stone walls, covered with green vegetation.

4. Balos, Crete, Greece

One of the best beaches in Europe

In a deserted area of the northwestern coast of Crete is the lagoon of Balos. This turquoise pool lies between a small rocky island and the mainland. The island itself is connected to the land by a small plume of white sand. This magical place, with clear water and almost no waves, becomes the perfect place to disconnect from the world. You can reach this beach by boat one port of Kissamos, or go through the rocks, which is more difficult.

5. Rabbit Beach, Italy

The beach is accessible only by boat, and it is one of the few places in the Mediterranean where sea turtles lay their eggs.

6. Dona Ana, Portugal

Europe's best beaches

Dona Ana beach is considered the most picturesque in the Algarve region. The small bay is surrounded by steep cliffs with colorful structures, while the crystalline waters wash over the golden sands – unique and undoubtedly one of the best beaches in Europe. It is also a good place to go scuba diving.

7. Jaz Beach, Montenegro
