8 beaches in Nha Trang – Choosing the best place to stay
Nha Trang is one of the most popular resorts in Vietnam, where tourists from all over the world are drawn. And no wonder, because the beaches in Nha Trang offer recreation for all tastes: youth with clubbing entertainment until dawn or a real relaxation in the style of bounty. In this article you will learn about all the beaches in and around the city.
Chang Phu Town Beach
Of course, the most famous beach in the area. This beauty stretches for seven kilometers, and it is a solid light-colored sand. Its color is due to the fact that its structure is special, it is the smallest particles of sea shells. The sand is not as fine as in Thai Phuket, but it is very nice, walking on it barefoot – a pleasure!
Along the coastline stretches embankment, with it is possible to go down to the beach. Although Chan Phu is in the center of town, there is a lot of greenery around. There are nice gazebos and benches. The surrounding area is clean, the park area and the beach thoroughly cleaned, although the sand can be leaves and branches from the trees. The beach is municipal and that means that since the early morning the locals gather there to have a morning walk, to do exercises and to have a swim.
In winter, however, swimming can be problematic. There’s a seasonal bad weather from November to March. The wind rises, which drives the waves. Some brave, of course, dare to swim, but with small children in these months to go to Chang Fu is not the best option. The rest of the time – beautiful! The sand is heated in the sun, at lunchtime to the sea barefoot will have to run hopping. The bottom of Chang Phu flat, gentle, comfortable going in and the depths.
Right on the beach you can start trying Vietnamese cuisine. There are plenty of diverse cafes and restaurants with great food, especially in that part of the beach, where most hotels with positive reviews. But for those who have had time to pine for European dishes, you can also find a suitable institution.
Chang Phu Beach in Nha Trang dotted with signs in Russian, even on the menu you can find Cyrillic.
Tranquil Paragon Beach
Unlike the city center where waves often rise high, this place is more peaceful. This is a priory beach.
Anyone can take bus number 4 (fare – 9 thousand dong), which goes on the third line. Get off at the last stop Winperl and walk another fifteen minutes on foot. First walk a little in the opposite direction to the intersection and there turn left. Another option is to take a cab from the terminal (will cost about 100.000 VND).
In general, the trip by public transport takes about forty minutes. To get back, you need to come to the terminus. Often the bus is already taking passengers or will have to wait a maximum of a quarter of an hour.
The beach in the literal sense of the word Paragon can hardly be called. If you look at the beaches of Nha Trang in the photo, it is immediately recognizable. It looks more like an artificial pool in a natural environment. The coastal part of the sea is cut off by a rock. That is, in any weather, there is no waves and debris that arrives during the storm. The sand is light, so the water looks turquoise. The shoal is wide, which means that small children will be free here.
Some lack the liveliness of the sea waves. But the enclosed space is quite spacious, and there is no impression of enclosure. And during a storm, which can last several days, it is better to swim in such an enclosed beach than to admire the ramparts at Chan Phu.
Before heading back, you can rinse your feet near the villa, which is located on the edge. There is a hose with a faucet behind the fence near the pool. Locals are not embarrassed to wash your feet there, and tourists use it.
Of the minuses – the modest size of the beach, few sun loungers and umbrellas, sometimes there is none at all. Also there is no toilet and shower. There is nowhere to eat, because the cafe is only at the entrance. It is better to take a snack and water with you if you are going to visit Paragon Beach (Nha Trang).
Picturesque Pearl Beach
This beach is quite far from Nha Trang – 70 km. The most convenient to book a tour (in the Russian travel agency will cost about 33 c.u. along with a snack). Now some travel agencies bring groups of tourists from Nha Trang. On their own way is difficult, buses do not run.
Pearl Beach in Nha Trang is little known, which means there are almost no people on it. It is located south of Nha Trang. Entrance to the hotel (which includes the beach) is paid – 100,000 VND. There is a restaurant on the water here and there is a nice stone lighthouse. Around the huge boulders, palm trees, wooden houses on stilts – the views are unforgettable. At least once is worth a trip for the beautiful pictures. If you are planning to take pictures of beaches with white sand in Nha Trang, then come here.
The beach is small, but beautiful. In the season, the water is clean, warm, even in the daytime there are no waves, unlike Nha Trang. Umbrellas are natural, made of palm leaves. If you book an excursion, they will give you drinks and fruit on the beach. But in winter the water gets dirty: in the off-season a lot of bags and other debris is washed ashore.
From minuses – not developed infrastructure (except for a lonely restaurant and hotel) and far from Nha Trang. In general, a nice place, where you will feel calm and unity with nature.
Fun Beach Louisiana
Strictly speaking, there is no separate beach called Louisiana, it is a part of the city beach, which belongs to the stunning cafe of the same name. So there is no point in writing separately about the sea – everything is the same as on Chan Phu. “Louisiana” is an institution with its own brewery, so the true lovers of beer flock here. Indeed, it has its own pool and beach. The cafe is located near the middle of the city beach.
You can get there on foot if you walk along the city beach in the direction of the cable car (Vinpearl), by cab, telling the driver the name of the restaurant, or by bus number 2, 4 or 5. The stop is called “Central Beach,” then walk a hundred meters to the lotus.
The restaurant offers visitors comfortable sun loungers with mattresses and deck chairs by the shore. The area is clean and well-groomed. Despite the sale of alcohol, it is quiet around, visitors do not rage. Security guards keep an eye on the belongings of holidaymakers and chase away intrusive local vendors.
Waiters Louisiana Beach (Nha Trang) serve people all around the beach, quickly bring beer and snacks. If there are waves at sea, you can use the pool. Of facilities also fresh showers and toilets. The price to rent a sun lounger is VND 50,000, a glass of 0.6 liter of specialty beer is $4. You can see the entire menu at the restaurant’s website – https://louisianebrewhouse.com.vn. By the way, the beer is excellent! It comes with free salted peanuts, you just need to ask the waiter.
There is good internet at the pool tables, there are occasional interruptions at the topchairs. Of the disadvantages: from the sun beds, which stand by the pool, are asked to get off after 4 pm, because the staff Louisiana prepares the tables for dinner. The restaurant (as well as its beach) is open from seven in the morning until one in the morning. Of the minuses – rather expensive compared to other places.
In general – a pleasant place. No one runs up and does not look whether you took a drink, to get the right to take a deck chair and splash in the pool. In the evening there is live music on the beach Louisiana.

Deserted Bai Dai.
Bai Dai (pronounced Bai Zai in Russian) means “long beach” in Vietnamese. It really is long – stretches for 15 kilometers. There used to be a military base here 20 km to the south of Nha Trang.
You can get here by rent a car or by cab. You can bargain with the driver: for 500 thousand VND you will pay for the way from the city and back, including the waiting time. This is a common practice in Southeast Asia: the client rests – the driver waits. Payment by the fact, in Nha Trang.
The beach, of course, is not as well-equipped as Chang Phu. There is natural debris everywhere: twigs, leaves, seaweed … But Bai Gai is not among the best beaches in Nha Trang for nothing. The atmosphere of peace and spirituality pervades everyone. The sea is clean and calm (waves only in winter). There are few people, and the scenery is mesmerizing.
If you get here by rented car or motorcycle, you can leave them in the “parking lot”. This is a small area where you can leave your iron horse. The locals charge VND5,000 as a bribe for their services as security guards. You can not worry about transport, because for the residents it is one of the main types of income (except for the sale of seafood).
To enter the Bai Zai do not need to pay, it’s free. You can rent a sun lounger for 50 thousand VND. Toilets in the cafe are free, and for the shower will have to pay a dollar.
Bai Dai Beach in Nha Trang is great for surfing: in winter there is a decent wave. Can rent a surfboard: an hour will have to pay 200 thousand VND. Different boards are offered, in poor English the owner will explain what is the best for what purpose. The owner will ask for the money only after returning the board – it is their trust.
Infrastructure is only at the beginning of Bai Zaya, on the side of town. There are several cafes standing there. The menus of local restaurants offer a translation of the names of dishes into Russian. True, it is difficult to understand what is a lucian or spinorog. And the owners often do not know a word in Russian. Local vendors are not yet spoiled by tourists, are happy even a tip of 20000 VND. Prices are low and the attitude towards customers is cordial.
Behind the cafes are long kilometers of wild beach with snow-white soft sand and crystal clear sea water. Garbage locals clean up at low tide. The Vietnamese do not think much about disposal, just bury the finds in the sand. The entrance to the sea does not change, depending on the tide: it remains flat, but the shallow water at low tide is small.
Fishermen are frequent guests here. They swim in boats in the form of basins – it looks very authentic!
The original Jungle Beach
This is also a remote beach, where there is no public transport. If you rent a bike, you can get from the center of Nha Trang to the beach in an hour. You should be prepared that the traffic is crazy: on the road trucks and trucks are racing no worse than racers, often motorcyclists rushing on the wrong side of the road. You have to drive 65 kilometers north of the city. You have to go on your own way along the AH1 highway. When you see a sign of Huyndai Shipyard, turn right.
Drive along the shore and you will see fishermen and smell the aromas of fresh fish. You will be sure that you did not drive in vain. The place is magical, the kind you see in pictures. You can stay in a real bungalow. The owner is a man who must be about a hundred years old. For $65 a night you can live happily ever after with three meals a day. Or you can pay for a single visit ($5).
You can drive in between two hotels and everything will be free on that no man’s land. If you won’t be taking a cab, but a rented vehicle, it’s convenient to buy gasoline from the locals. You will see green bottles at the front door of the houses. Drinks can also be purchased. In general, Jungle Beach is a heavenly place! Clean beach, not crowded.
Vinpearl Island Beach
Vinpearl is a wonderful island where they created a huge amusement park. This large green island has everything a tourist needs. If you came to Vietnam, Nha Trang and love the beaches, then you have to come here! Especially since even the way to the island is already an adventure.
You can get to Wineperl (by the way, it is actually called Hon Che) by ferry or cable car. Of course, the second option is much more picturesque: you can admire the views of the sea and islands around. The cable car starts from the central ticket office of Winperl, near the port of Nha Trang. The ticket price for an adult is VND 880,000. The price includes the cable car ride (both directions) and entrance to all parts of the park.
The park is great! It has a lot of activities, but it is easy to get lost. We suggest getting a free map and following it.
Visitors to Wynperl say that for a local amusement park, one day is negligible, you will surely want to come back for more. There is an amusement park, and an arcade, and a shopping area with souvenirs and jewelry (prices higher than in Nha Trang), and water park, and electric sledding, and the oceanarium, and even a fountain show!
On the beach – as always, white sand, crystal blue water (warmer than the city beach), an abundance of sun loungers and umbrellas, and no problems with taking a seat. You can rent a jet ski, the cost of this pleasure is about $ 45 / hour.
Doklet is an hour drive from Nha Trang. In a separate article describes all the features of visiting the beach Zoklet and how to get there from Nha Trang. Here the snow-white sand, water, as fresh milk. Waves can be, but not big. At the bottom is only sand, no unpleasant surprises in the form of sharp barnacles or coral.
By the way, almost all the beaches in Nha Trang stunning sand, which is loved not only by tourists, but also by sand flies. Insect bites are not dangerous, but very itchy, and the wounds take a long time to heal. Local pharmacies have remedies: just show the pharmacist the bites and you will be given medicine.
You should also be careful with the sun. On the Vietnamese coast, even those who usually only get a tan get burned. Do not be lazy to use a strong sunscreen, and then the beaches of Nha Trang will leave you only pleasant memories.

Nha Trang Beach
This is the most famous beach in Nha Trang, which is a sandy strip several kilometers long. You can get to Nha Trang Beach from almost anywhere in town, the main reference point is Tran Phu Street, along which the public transport runs.
The sand here is coarse, yellow, with a mixture of shells and pebbles, the entrance to the sea is almost everywhere deep. The beach itself is cleaned regularly. Along the beach stretches a beautiful promenade with neatly trimmed trees, playgrounds, simulators and cafes.
The southern part of the beach is more comfortable than the northern part. There are sunbeds and umbrellas, offered a variety of entertainment for vacationers: riding a banana, jet skis, parachuting.
Read our review about vacation in Nha Trang and opinions of other tourists: what are the prices, what excursions to go on, what hotel to choose and much more.
- The beach is well maintained, with umbrellas and sun loungers. Sun loungers are inexpensive, during the season can be rented for 60-120 thousand VND (about 160-320 rubles at current exchange rate). If you want, you can buy fresh fruit on the beach or get a massage.
- Close to hotels, cafes and stores.
However, the most popular beach in Nha Trang is far from the best and has its drawbacks.
- According to the reviews of tourists, you can not rest here in silence. A lot of people. Because of the intrusive sellers and Russian-speaking tourists, it seems as if you are in a Russian southern resort.
- High waves in Nha Trang from October to March. At that time, swimming is not safe, it is better to look for other beaches. Read more about the weather in Nha Trang in winter.
Personal experience. Despite the disadvantages, it was on Nha Trang Beach that we came every day. What is the secret of the popularity of this beach? It’s simple: it is the most accessible. The bulk of hotels are concentrated along it, so it is more convenient for tourists to rest on the city beach of Nha Trang. In addition, it is clean and you can always rent a deckchair. And as for the large number of people, you can always go a little further away, where there are fewer tourists – for example, to the lotus-shaped building. Also, we really liked the fact that you can use the fitness equipment on the waterfront for free.
A section of the city beach called Dream Beach is located in “Gorky Park” in Nha Trang. It is a kind of center of Russian life with swimming pools, cafes, amusements and other entertainment. Here you can drink a cup of coffee, eat a plate of borscht, watch a movie and swim in the pool. Some tourists consider it the best beach in Nha Trang. The park is open from 9 to 18 hours. You can get to the beach on buses 2, 4 and 5.
- The beach is small (its length is only 500 m), clean and neat. It is considered the most comfortable in the city. The cost of renting sun loungers – from 60 to 100 thousand dong. Entrance and the pool are free.
- There is a VIP area with padded sun loungers, lockers and other amenities.
- This is the most famous “Russian” beach. If you want a break from the Russians, look for another place.

Zooclet Beach (Doc Let)
Zoklet is probably the most hyped beach in Nha Trang. Many consider it the best in the resort. This is a typical bounty beach with white floury sand, rare palm trees along the shore and turquoise water. It is located almost 50 km from Nha Trang. To get to this beach, you need to book an excursion or rent a bike, you can also get on the bus number 3. The beach has hotels, restaurants and stores. Renting a deck chair will cost from 100 thousand dong.
- The beach is large, almost 10 km long, with some infrastructure and white sand. Sometimes there are a lot of tourists, but if you want you can find a secluded place to relax.
- According to tourists, Zokleta tasty seafood, and inexpensive.
- Zoklet beach is far from Nha Trang, and without personal transportation will be difficult to get, especially if vacationing with children. The road to the beach will take at least 1.5 hours, so the option of a cab is rejected as expensive. The cheapest way is a bus, the most convenient (for us at least) is a bike.
- Most services are paid – you have to pay for parking and rent a deck chair. Parking costs about 5 thousand dong.
- In the free part of the beach there is a toilet, which we strongly advise against going in!
Personal experience. Despite all the rave reviews, we were not particularly impressed with Zoklet beach. We were on the free part and found a lot of garbage on the sand and clingy owners of seaside cafes. The paid part of the beach is cleaned. The sea is too shallow, but clean. Overall, the place is nice, but we would not come here a second time – too far and long. Wrote that on the way there are salt fields, but we have not seen them.

Among the best beaches in Nha Trang, tourists also refer to Paragon Beach, which is located on the south side of the resort, near the cable car to Winperl Island. You can get here by public transport (bus number 4) or by cab. The beach belongs to the hotel Paragon, so the entrance fee is 20 thousand dong (55 rubles). Renting a sun lounger is VND60,000.
Paragon Beach is very popular among family vacationers. The sandy strip is narrow, but the sand is fine and soft. Fences play a role – there are never high waves, as on the central beach of Nha Trang.
- This beach is great for children – no high waves, well heated shallow water.
- The beach is located in the wealthy district of Nha Trang An Vien – around the luxury villas, so that leisurely walks at sunset will bring a lot of aesthetic pleasure vacationers.
- The beach is small, and gives the impression of crowding. You have to pay for admission and sun loungers. There are not enough deck chairs for everyone.
- There are no stores, cafes and entertainment. You can have lunch in the restaurant of the Paragon Hotel.
- Shallow water.
Bãi Dài beach
Bai Zai is a semi-wild beach located 20 km from Nha Trang, on the site of a former military base. It can be reached from the city by cab or bicycle in 15 minutes. The beach is long, almost 15 km long, with a gentle entrance and calm clear water. During the fall and winter, small waves appear.
- Pleasant to the touch white sand, clear water and smooth depths. An ideal place for romantics and lovers of secluded relaxation, the locals rarely come here, and fishermen can be seen only in the morning and evening hours.
- While the infrastructure is still underdeveloped. No one cleans up the natural garbage. Part of the coast has already been bought by well-known hotel chains.
- In some places, the beach has become polluted and crowded.
Personal experience. We went to the deserted part of the beach – it was very calm and peaceful, there was not a soul around. Nearby was building some luxury hotel.
