It grows near the village of Ilyinka. Planted in about 1651. It is considered the oldest oak in Chuvashia. Recognized as a natural monument of regional importance in 1981. Protected by the state until 2013, after which it ceased to be listed. The maximum height is 26 m. It was damaged by a lightning strike, due to which it became 6 m lower. Diameter of the trunk – 182 cm, girth – 570 cm.

Museum “Wonderful Embroidery – Paha Tere”.

Opened in Kugesi and is the only one of its kind. Here they try to preserve the history of Chuvash embroidery, a special ornament, known in the republic for a long time. Suvar Ethnocultural Park

Founded in the suburbs of Cheboksary in 1993. It is located on the territory of sanatorium. Represents a collection of wooden sculptures. Each year, the collection of the unusual park is replenished: craftsmen from different cities gather here and carve mythological creatures. Seven hectares are divided into three zones: the Golden Hill contains statues of gods, the Silver Hill – of people, and the Copper Hill – of spirits. Currently, there are over 150 sculptures.

Mokrina railway bridge

Located near the village of the same name. Built over the Duck River in about 1918. The height is more than 20 meters. The length – about 360 m with a width of 4 m. The concrete arch viaduct was closed in 1986, the railroad track was dismantled. Included in the list of historical and cultural monuments. Used by extreme climbers for rope jumping. Under the bridge there is a holy spring with a font and a chapel.

Cape “Bird’s Flight”.

It is considered to be the highest point on the Volga coast in the republic – about 190 m above the river level. The natural viewing platform allows you to see the bay of the river Ilet, the mouth of the Anish, the Volga and even the forests of Mari El. Here is also organized tourist base. Tourists are offered to stay in spacious yurts. On the territory there is a playground, places for cooking, tents for gatherings.
