Response: A tour of Conil de la Frontera (Spain, Cadiz) – A very nice town with gorgeous beaches on the Atlantic.

Hello friends and guests to my page. I continue to write about resorts on the Atlantic Ocean in Spain and today my review is about the town of Conil de la Frontera.

My friend who lives in Malaga, a month rented an apartment with her husband in Conil de la Frontera and invited us to visit. And we do not need to talk long:))), got together and went. It was a month and a half ago, in February.

From Estepona to Conil de la Frontera go 150km in the direction of Cadiz. A couple of hours and we were in Conil.

We parked on the promenade, called a friend, and in five minutes we met.

Here, on the first line of the beach, they rented an apartment.

Since February is not the tourist season, they rented it very cheap, but really by acquaintance.

First they invited us home for a cup of coffee. The apartment they rented has a large terrace on top with a beautiful view of the ocean.

After having a cup of coffee, we went for a walk on the beach.

The day was warm and sunny, but then the wind blew so cold and strong that it was no longer comfortable to walk around and we decided to go back to town. But first my friend took us to the bridge that goes over the Salt River.

The views from here are beautiful.

After walking on the beach, my friend’s husband went home to cook dinner, and Irina, that was my friend’s name, acted as a guide and gave us a tour of the city.

Conil de la Frontera is a typical “pueblo blanco,” a village with white houses and narrow cobblestone streets. It is home to 22 thousand people, but during the summer months the number of inhabitants reaches 90 thousand.

In the old part of the city stands a tower “Torre de Guzman. By the way, in the XIV-XV centuries the city was called “Torre de Guzman”, in honor of the military leader, whose exploit I wrote about in my review of Tarifa.

Tired and worked up an appetite, we went back to a friend’s house where my friend’s husband had prepared a very delicious dinner.

I wanted to stay until sunset, as my friend told me that they are very beautiful in these parts. But unfortunately we did not get to see it, as we had to return home, my husband had some other things planned for the evening.

My friend shared with me pictures of sunsets, which for the month of her vacation, she took a lot of pictures. Well, with her permission I am sharing them with you.

Where to stay in Chiclana de la Frontera

Whereas Chiclana de la Frontera is dominated by two- and three-star hotels or bed and breakfasts without stars, in St. Petrie all hotels are five- and four-star, focused on beach holidays. Pricing policy of local resorts is quite democratic, even in high-class hotels. This is when a relatively small money to get the highest standard of recreation in a beautiful place with excellent beaches. Going on a trip to Spain, do not forget to take out a travel insurance policy, which is compulsory already at the stage of obtaining a tourist visa. You can arrange the insurance yourself without leaving home. There are special services for this purpose, such as Tripinsurance, Cherehapa, and others. You can purchase the policy online and then print it out on an ordinary printer.
